1. No wonder I love Miike Snow:

The band consists of singer/songwriter Andrew Wyatt, and the producing team of Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg, also known as Bloodshy & Avant.

Do you know who Bloodshy & Avant are? Only the writers and/or producers of my favorite tracks of this decade! They won a Grammy for “Toxic” (!) but here are some other notable things they’ve worked on:

    • Christina Milian’s “AM to PM
    • Britney Spears’ “Unusual You” and “Piece of Me
    • Rachel Stevens’ “Sweet Dreams My L.A. Ex
    • and of course Rob Thomas’ “This Is How a Heart Breaks,” which I embed above because of its M. Night Shymalan-level twist ending. WHAT? THAT’S WHO’S IN THE HOODIE? CRAZY.

AM to PM by Christina Milian

I was randomly singing this song last Thursday.

I think this is up there in the so-ridiculous-it’s-perfect list with “Sneakernight.”

ETA: I had some thoughts rewatching this. First, one day I will explain how terrible eighties fashion was to my kids (or the kids of my friends, anyway) and they will see videos like this online and they will not be wrong in assuming the fashion of my youth was way, way worse. I mean, what is she wearing in this video? I don’t think I realized just how bad it is until now. And second, the title of this song makes no fucking sense. It’s about being out all night, which is PM to AM. Being out AM to PM is just being out all day. If you were out all day for I know you were out shopping or at school or whatever. Lord.
